Jerchel is a district of the community Milower Land in Havelland in Brandenburg . It is located directly on the north-western border with Saxony-Anhalt . The Jerchel and Luisenhof extension residential spaces belong to Jerchel.
Geography and transport links
The village of Jerchel is on the L 96 . The Havel flows north and runs along the B 102 .
history
On September 30, 1928 the manor district of Jerchel was united with the rural community of Jerchel. On July 1, 1950, the Jerchel community in the Jerichow II district was incorporated into the Nitzahn community . On January 1, 1957, the Jerchel community in the Rathenow district was reorganized as a spin-off from Nitzahn. On October 26, 2003 Jerchel merged with other communities to form the community of Milower Land and thus became a district.

In the list of architectural monuments in Milower Land , two architectural monuments are listed for Jerchel :
- a whole milestone northwest of the locality
- The manor house (Rotdornweg 3–3c, 5), a single-storey building with a mansard roof , was built in 1772. The previous building had burned down.
