Schmetzdorf is a district of the municipality Milower Land in Havelland in Brandenburg . It is located directly on the western border with Saxony-Anhalt . The Vogelgesang residential area belongs to Schmetzdorf.

history
On September 30, 1928, the manor district of Bushi was united with the rural community of Schmetzdorf. On July 1, 1950, the community Schmetzdorf from the district of Jerichow II was incorporated into the community Zollchow . On October 26, 2003, the Schmetzdorf district came together with Zollchow to form the new municipality of Milower Land.
Attractions
In the list of architectural monuments in Milower Land , three architectural monuments are listed for Schmetzdorf :
- The Protestant village church dates from the first half of the 13th century. It was restored from 1962 to 1964. The crucifixion group on the altar dates from around 1520; it is designed in the late Gothic style. The pulpit is from around 1600, the base is modern.
