Nitzahn is a district of the municipality of Milower Land in the Havelland district in Brandenburg . The municipality parts Knoblauch and Wendeberg belong to Nitzahn .
Geography and transport links
Nitzahn is located in the southern part of the municipality on the L 96 road . The Havel flows to the east. The B 102 runs even further east . The state border with Saxony-Anhalt runs 2 km to the west.
history
Until October 26, 2003 Nitzahn was an independent community. Until June 30, 1950, it was in the Jerichow II district of the Prussian province of Saxony or the state of Saxony-Anhalt. On July 1, 1950, the previously independent municipality of Knoblauch was incorporated. With this incorporation, Nitzahn became a municipality of the newly formed district of Genthin . With the administrative reform of 1952 in the GDR, Nitzahn was assigned to the Rathenow district in the Potsdam district . Due to the Brandenburg district reform on December 6, 1993, the municipality became part of the Havelland district . The Brandenburg community reform in 2003 incorporated Nitzahn on October 26, 2003 into the newly formed community Milower Land .
