Jesús is a district in the Itapúa department in Paraguay .
It is as such since 31 August 1966. However, already in 1685 founded the Jesuit Gerónimo Delfín the Jesuit Reduction Ruins of Jesús de Tavarangue , which today together with the Jesuit Reduction de La Santisima Trinidad Paraná for UNESCO - World Heritage matters.
The district extends over an area of 160 km² and, according to the 2002 census, had 5,560 inhabitants at the time, 2,186 of whom lived in the urban center of the district. Jesús is surrounded by the neighboring districts of Hohenau , Trinidad , La Paz and Capitán Miranda .
