Jesau , Jěžow in Upper Sorbian ^{? / i} , is a district of the town of Kamenz in the Saxon district of Bautzen .

Geography and transport links

The district of Jesau is located east of the city center of Kamenz on the western edge of the official Sorbian settlement area in Upper Lusatia . The S 95 runs to the west, the S 94 to the north and east , the S 97 to the east and the S 100 to the southwest . The Black Elster , a 179 km long right tributary of the Elbe, flows on the north-western edge of the town .

In 1935 Jesau was incorporated into Kamenz.
