Jesendorf is a part of the municipality of Kröning in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Jesendorf is located in the Isar-Inn hill country in the south of the municipality of Kröning on the LA 3 district road . The distance to the city of Landshut in the west is about 15 kilometers as the crow flies.

history

Jesendorf formed a chairman in the Kirchberg office of the Teisbach regional court . In 1752 it consisted of 17 properties. The 1818 from the tax district Gerzen resulting village belonged to the district office Vilsbiburg, later district Vilsbiburg and included in 1964 an area of 2,222 hectares with the 35 districts Asbach , Bödldorf , Eck , Eppenöd , Flexöd , Gmain , large bed Rain , hoes , Hermann riding , stroke , Dog Point , Jesendorf, small bed Rain , Kobl , Koblpoint , cross Häusl , Mairhof , Oberschnittenkofen , oil Hart , Otzlberg , paradise , rice mill , riding , Resenöd , Rutting , shafts , Scheuereck , Schmelling , summer mountain , Strasbourg , Stürming , Unterschnittenkofen , Wieselberg , Wippstetten and Zurlberg and there 1961 a total of 184 residential buildings with 841 residents. Jesendorf was one of the places where the Kröningen pottery industry was based. On the southern edge of the village, a brickworks ruin with a brick chimney and Dower pond are reminiscent of this. The municipality of Jesendorf was incorporated into the municipality of Kröning on April 1, 1971 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . In 1987 Jesendorf had 198 inhabitants. A settlement area with a small sports field was created on the northern edge. By 2007 the population rose to 260.
