Jessika Jenson (born August 7, 1991 in Idaho Falls ) is an American snowboarder . She starts in the freestyle disciplines .

Career

Jenson has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2009 . In March 2010 she took third place in slopestyle at the Billabong Flaunt it in Sierra-at-Tahoe, her first podium finish. In the 2010/11 season she won the slopestyle at the US Revolution Tour in Copper Mountain and at the Burton Am Series in Mammoth and Park City . The following season she won the Billabong Flaunt It in Waterville Valley and Sierra-at-Tahoe. She drove her first FIS World Cup race in January 2013 in Copper Mountain , which she finished in 18th place in slopestyle. In the same month she finished 13th in Slopestyle at the 2013 Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham . In her first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , she came in 13th place in slopestyle. In the 2014/15 season she achieved her first podium in the FIs World Cup with second place in the Slopestyle in Stoneham and thus came in sixth place in the Slopestyle World Cup. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , she finished tenth in Slopestyle and eighth in Big Air . After finishing ninth in slopestyle at The Mile High in Perisher Blue at the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she finished second in slopestyle at the US Grand Prix and World Cup in Mammoth . In March 2016, she finished seventh in slopestyle at the Burton US Open and won the bronze medal in big air competition at the 2016 Snowboard World Championships in Yabuli . She also achieved 12th place in slopestyle. She finished the season in sixth place in the Freestyle World Cup and fourth in the Slopestyle World Cup. The following year she finished sixth in slopestyle and fifth in big air at the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she finished 11th in big air and fifth in slopestyle.
