Yevgeny Alexandrowitsch Bodrov ( Russian Евгений Александрович Бодров ; born January 8, 1988 in Tolyatti , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Severstal Cherepovets from the Continental Hockey League since December 2018 .

Career

Yevgeny Bodrov began his career as a hockey player in the youth division of the HK Lada Tolyatti , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the 2005/06 season . The center prepared a goal in 19 games. He also won the IIHF Continental Cup with Lada in 2006 . In the following seasons, the left shooter fought for a regular place at Lada Tolyatti, for which he first appeared in the newly established Continental Hockey League in the 2008/09 season . He scored six goals and made seven assists in 61 games. After he had started the 2009/10 season at Lada, he moved to its league rivals Ak Bars Kazan during the season . Bodrow could never really prevail there and therefore always remained a supplementary player in the third or fourth row. In November Kazan exchanged him for Mikhail Gluchow from Atlant Moskovskaya Oblast .

Due to financial problems, Atlant withdrew from the game operation after the 2014/15 season and Bodrow moved with some other players of the club to HK Spartak Moscow , who took over Atlants KHL starting place. He scored 24 points in 59 KHL games for Spartak in the 2015/16 season before signing a two-year contract with Salawat Julajew Ufa in May 2016 .

Between October 2017 and December 2018 he was under contract with HK Sibir Novosibirsk and completed 40 KHL games for the club. In December 2018 he moved to Severstal Tscherepowez .

International

For Russia , Bodrow took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2006 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2008 . At the U20 World Cup, he finished third with his team and thus won the bronze medal. He also represented his home country at the 2007 Super Series .
