Geoffrey Kenneth "Geoff" Kinrade (born July 29, 1985 in Nelson , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Severstal Tscherepowez in the Continental Hockey League since December 2018 .
Career
Kinrade was initially 2003 to 2005 for the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the British Columbia Hockey League active before a subsequent study at the Michigan Technological University began and for their hockey team, the Michigan Tech Huskies , in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association on the ice went. After completing his studies in calendar 2009, the undrafted defender signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning from the National Hockey League , for which Kinrade completed an NHL game. In addition, the left-shooter was in ten AHL games for their farm team , the Norfolk Admirals , in action. Here he scored one hit and a total of five scorer points . After his contractual relationship with the Bolts had expired , the Canadian was given a two-way contract by the Ottawa Senators during the free agent period in July 2009 . The following two seasons spent the defensive player exclusively in the AHL farm team with the Binghamton Senators and won the Calder Cup with the team in the 2010/11 season . In total, he played 177 AHL games for Binghamton in two years and posted 57 points.
For the 2011/12 season Kinrade signed a working paper with HC Plzeň 1929 from the Czech Extraliga and was on the ice for the team in 34 league games before signing a contract with SC Bern from the National League A in January 2012 . The Bernese Mutzen initially took the Canadian under contract until the end of the season to temporarily replace the ailing compatriot Travis Roche . After a successful season with reaching the playoff finals against the ZSC Lions , the city of Bern extended the contractual relationship with the left-handed shooter for another season. In January 2013 the contract was extended for another two years until the end of the 2014/15 season.
At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he was loaned to HC Ambrì-Piotta for a few games before he was handed over to the KHL Medveščak Zagreb from the Continental Hockey League in mid-October . Further positions in the KHL were Admiral Vladivostok in the 2015/16 season, then Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk , Kunlun Red Star , Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and, since December 2018, Severstal Tscherepowez .
