Most of the contract, however, he completed for the farm team Houston Eros in the American Hockey League , where he received the Yanick Dupré Memorial Award in the 2001/02 season and won the Calder Cup with the team a year later .
In 2004 he was signed by the NHL team Atlanta Thrashers , but again played most of the time in their farm team with the Chicago Wolves . In the summer of 2006 Roche signed with the Phoenix Coyotes , where he posted his first goal in the NHL on December 16 of the same year. He finished the season with 19 scorer points from 50 season games in the top division of North America, but spent the following year exclusively with the farm team San Antonio Rampage , marking 41 scorer points in 71 games.
Europe (since 2008)
For the 2008/09 season moved Roche to Europe and the closed SC Bern of the Swiss National League A in. With Bern he won the Swiss championship in his second season and was the defender with the highest points in the league in the following season with eight goals and 22 assists. In the 2012/13 season , the defensive player had a significant share in his team's renewed title win with 15 points from 19 play-off games and the decisive goal in the final series against Friborg-Gottéron . After six years in Bern, the Canadian moved to MODO Hockey in the Svenska Hockeyligan in August 2014 , where he did not receive a new contract after the 2014/15 season . In February 2016 he was signed by the EHC Linz from the EBEL for the rest of the 2015/16 season .
