Yevgeny Nikolajewitsch Kulikow ( Russian Евгений Николаевич Куликов ; born May 25, 1950 in Bogdanowitsch ) is a former Soviet speed skater .

He was the first runner to run 500 meters in under 38 seconds. His best time in his career was exactly 37 seconds. This world record lasted 8 years.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck he won the gold medal over 500 meters. Four years later at the Games in Lake Placid he won silver behind Eric Heiden .

In 1975 he was awarded the Oscar Mathisen Award .
