Jia Yuping ( Chinese  贾雨平 , Pinyin Jiă Yŭpíng ; born May 3, 1986 in Liaoning ) is a former Chinese biathlete and cross-country skier .

Jia Yuping lives and trained in Dalian . She started for the Chinese biathlon association. Jia made her international debut in 2002 at the Junior World Championships in Ridnaun , where she was 47th in the individual, 12th in the sprint and 16th in the pursuit. With Yin Qiao and Dong Xue , she also won the relay race title. A year later in Kościelisko she was 60th in the individual, 33rd in the sprint and 35th in the pursuit. In 2004 she reached the 43rd place in the individual in Haute-Maurienne , was 46th in the sprint race, 28th in the pursuit and eleventh in relay with Liu Liming and Dong Xue. Shortly afterwards the debut in the World Cup followed . In her first race in Lake Placid , Jia was 55th in a sprint and qualified for the pursuit race, which she did not finish as a lapped runner. The 55th place remained the best result in the World Cup for the Chinese. In 2005 and 2006 she only competed in one international world cup race. It was only in 2007 that she became more active again and started in Martell for the fourth time at the Junior World Championships . In the individual she was 31st, in the sprint 33rd and 30th in the pursuit race. The Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz , where Jia was 69th of the sprint, became the career highlight in biathlon .

In addition to biathlon, Jia was also active in cross-country skiing, but mostly only competed in lower-class racing series such as the Far East Cup or FIS races . The climax of her career was the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , where she was 61st of the freestyle sprint qualification in the Pragelato Plan races and thus could not qualify for the final. In 2007 she competed in her only race in the World Cup and was 26th in Changchun in the 10-kilometer freestyle race. After the season, she did not contest any international races.
