occupation

Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (also Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai ) ( Hindi : जिस देश में गंगा बहती है, Urdu : جس دیش میں گنگا بہتی ہے, translated: The land in which the Ganges flows ) is a successful Bollywood film with Raj Kapoor as a naive from the country with a big heart.

action

The naive Raju lives very modestly in the country. As a musician, he delights people and follows the teachings of the Hindu god Shiva . One evening he saves the life of the crook Sardar. As a thank you, Sardar invites Raju to his home.

There he meets Sardar's flirtatious daughter Kammo, with whom he soon falls in love. But with that he forgets himself with Raka, who belongs to Sardar's group of crooks and wants to claim Kammo for himself.

In Sardar's village, the power of money is paramount. The villagers' theory is to steal money from the rich and distribute it among the poor. Raju himself doesn't think so. He is of the opinion that this will only bring harm to the whole village and wants to teach them better. Little by little he wins over the villagers - above all Kammo and Mirabai, who is worried about her son's future.

After the villagers voluntarily surrender to the police, the police commissioner shows mercy and mitigates the sentence so that the village escapes the death penalty.
