Johan Lindström (born February 17, 1975 in Valbo ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who has spent six seasons in the Elitserien and one in the German ice hockey league . His brother is the former Swedish ice hockey player Jimmy Lindström .
Career
At the age of 17, Johan Lindström started his professional career at Gävle Godtemplares IK in Division 1, which was second class at the time . After three years, he moved to Tingsryds AIF in 1995 . Lindström made his debut in the Elitserien in the 1996/97 season with the team from Brynäs IF . In his third season he reached the final of the playoffs against MODO Hockey with his team . There Lindström prevailed with Brynäs IF in five games and became Swedish champions . The next year they met MODO Hockey again in the semifinals and were eliminated. Also in the 2000/01 season Lindström was in the squad of Brynäs IF.
He then moved to the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League for the 2001/02 season . There Lindström missed the playoffs and was active in the next year for Djurgårdens IF in the Elitserien as well as for HK Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Super League . For the 2003/04 season he joined Mora IK from HockeyAllsvenskan . After a successful season, he was able to celebrate promotion to the Elitserien with his team. Then the Swede ended his career.
