Johan Ivar Rasmussen (born July 18, 1970 in Borås ) is a former Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Rasmussen made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup on March 7, 1990 in his hometown Örnsköldsvik . In jumping from the normal hill he reached the 71st place. A year later he started at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 in Val di Fiemme . He jumped from the large hill to 61st place. From the 1991/92 season, Rasmussen started in the World Cup and the Continental Cup in parallel . In the World Cup he remained pointless and unsuccessful in the first two seasons. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun in 1993 , he jumped from the normal hill to 31st and from the large hill to 34th place. On December 14, 1993 he achieved a 12th place inPredazzo won World Cup points for the first time. In addition, with this place he achieved the highest individual placement of his career in the World Cup. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , Rasmussen jumped from the large hill to 41st place. In team jumping he reached 10th place together with Mikael Martinsson , Staffan Tällberg and Fredrik Johansson . In the following years he remained unsuccessful in the World Cup as well as in the Nordic and ski flying world championships and then ended his active ski jumping career in 1996.
