Savur ( Arabic صاور, DMG Sāwr , Kurdish Stewr or Stewrê ) is a town and at the same time the name of a district in the Turkish province of Mardin in southeastern Anatolia . The city of Savur has 7,170 and the district 31,817 inhabitants (as of 2010). Savur is in the north of the province and borders the Batman and Diyarbakır provinces . The district is inhabited by Turks, Arabs and Kurds .
Savur (see Savur Çayı ) is also the name of a tributary of the Tigris .
