Johann Albrecht von Beyer

Johann Albrecht Beyer , von Beyer since 1747 , (* around 1700 in Prussia ; † November 3, 1760 near Torgau ) was a Prussian major .

Life

His father was a cavalry officer with the "Schlippenbach" cuirassier regiment and stayed in the battle of Malplaquet . He is said to have already had 20 years of service in the Prussian army when he was promoted to ensign in the Schlichting infantry regiment on November 26, 1735 . After a remarkably few years, he was promoted to captain on January 4, 1739 . On July 22, 1747, Beyer was raised to the Prussian nobility . As a major, in 1758 he became the commander of a grenadier battalion , which was composed of two companies each from the regiments "von Lehwald" and "von Below" . Beyer was one of the more than 16,000 Prussian fallen in the Battle of Torgau .
