Johann Anton Tillier (councilor, 1675)
Johann Anton Tillier (VII.) (Born June 6, 1675 in Bern, † September 19, 1731 in Bern ) was a Swiss officer and magistrate. He came from the Bernese patrician family Tillier .
Life
Tillier was born in 1673 as the son of the Bernese Grand Councilor Johann Anton Tillier (VI.) And Johanna Maria Frisching and was baptized on June 13, 1675 in Bern. His younger brother was the officer and politician Samuel Tillier . Johann Anton Tiller married Salome von Muralt, daughter of councilor Johann Bernhard von Muralt , in 1699 . Tillier became mayor of the outer state in 1701 , Bernese Grand Councilor in 1710, member of the Small Council in 1714 , Venner to Middle Lions in 1717 and Deutschseckelmeister in 1723. Tillier was in 1715 by Emperor Charles VI. knighted.

Tillier's father, Johann Anton Tillier (VI.) (1648–1678) was born in Niederurnen on October 31, 1648 as the son of the Vogt of Interlaken and Schultheissen zu Thun, Johann Rudolf Tillier , and Elisabeth Thellung. He studied in Orléans in 1666 . In the summer of 1678, when he was returning home from a Sauerbrunnen cure in Bad Pfäfers , he drowned in the Linth. He was buried the next day in the Niederurnen church, where a memorial stone was erected for him. Tillier's mother, Johanna Maria Frisching, was the daughter of the Bernese mayor Samuel Frisching .
