Johann August von Eicke

August Johann Theodor von Eicke (February 1740 in Swedish Pomerania ; † December 27, 1805 in Reischenhof ) was a Prussian colonel and battalion commander of the princely Fusilier Batalion No. 12.

The von Eicke family, originally von Eicke and Polwitz , belong to the Silesian nobility and are first mentioned in a document on August 14, 1334 with Peczko Eycke. This is the Pomeranian tribe .

Career

August Johann von Eicke entered the military on January 31, 1761 . On July 31, 1763 he is listed as an ensign with a service period of 2 years and 7 months in Rastenburg . January 14, 1795 - December 27, 1805 Appointment as royal Prussian colonel and battalion commander of the princely Fusilier Batalion No. 12 (1787–1807), which bore his name (Batl. Von Eicke).

Eicke married Luise Margarete Treusch von Buttlar-Brandenfels (born June 10, 1761 in Kassel , † January 31, 1848 in Heiligenbeil ) from the house of Markershausen in Graudenz in 1781 .
