NGC 7101 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Pegasus north of the celestial equator , an estimated 388 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 7102 .
The object was discovered on August 3, 1864 by the astronomer Albert Marth .
