NGC 7082 is an open cluster of Trumpler type IV2p in the constellation Swan at the northern sky . It has a brightness of +7.2 mag and a diameter of 25 '. The cluster is about 470 light years from the solar system and has an estimated age of 170 million years.
The object was discovered on October 19, 1788 by William Herschel .
