NGC 7107 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBdm in the constellation Crane in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 98 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years across.
The Type Ia supernova SN 2005dc was observed here.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 6, 1834 .
