Johann Bremermann
Johann Bremermann (born April 25, 1827 in Bremen ; † August 4, 1897 there ) was a German lithographer and photographer as well as a portrait painter from the Düsseldorf school .
Life
Bremermann received artistic training in his hometown from Christian Grabau . In 1844 he worked as a lithographer for Franz Hanfstaengl in Dresden . In 1846 he moved to its Munich company and stayed there for four years. In 1850 he settled in Bremen. In 1858 he went to Düsseldorf for a year to take private lessons from Karl Ferdinand Sohn in portrait painting. Bremermann established himself as a sought-after portrait painter in Bremen. Well-known Bremen personalities had portraits of him painted. He also worked as a portrait photographer.
