The coat of arms of the Paris family

Johann Christoph Sigmund von Paris von und zu Gailenbach (* 1745 ; † March 7, 1804 in Augsburg ) was an Augsburg patrician , landowner and assessor at the Augsburg city court .

Life

He was the son of Anton Friedrich von Paris and Susanna Helena Koch von Gailenbach , who married on November 25, 1743. His father came from the Augsburg family as part of the southern German line of the originally Prussian noble family of Paris. The southern German line of the von Paris family had a shield divided across the line: at the top, in silver, a blue lion striding along the dividing line, at the bottom three two-to-one golden lilies on a red background. With a few changes, this coat of arms became the coat of arms of the village of Edenbergen in the Augsburg district . His mother, the only daughter of Johann Christoph Koch von Gailenbach , had previously been married to a Melchior long coat (wedding on March 16, 1733) until his death .

After the death of his uncle Markus Christoph Koch von Gailenbach (1699–1768), who died childless, the Gailenbach Castle in Edenbergen together with the estate belonging to it went into the possession of his now widowed mother, who, however, was unable to inherit because it was an Austrian man feud. Susanna Helena was able to achieve that Johann Christoph Sigmund was enfeoffed and so came into the possession of Gailenbach in 1771 with the associated title of nobility ("from and to Gailenbach").

On February 23, 1772 he married Sybilla Magdalena Barbara († May 15, 1831), born von Furtenbach on Hummelsberg . 1777 presented Johann Christoph Sigmund a presumption , an application for utilizing the potential resource of Gailenbach, to the front Austrian government.

After his death in 1804, Gailenbach Castle and Gutshof passed to his son Johann Benedikt .
