Johann Dietrich Heumann (* 1728 , † 1774 ) was a German court - builder .

Life

Johann Dietrich Heumann was the son of the Hanoverian court architect Johann Paul Heumann . From 1747 to Michaelis 1750 he studied law at the University of Göttingen , where he was a member of the Pug Order . In 1759 he succeeded his father.

His son was the "private conductor" Paul Ludwig Heumann .

The painter Anton Raphael Mengs created a half- length portrait of Heumann as an oil painting , which is now in the possession of the Kunsthalle Bremen . In 1998 Gitta von Chmara created a felt-tip pen drawing for this painting.
