Johann Ganitzer , also Hans Ganitzer , (born December 14, 1961 in St. Johann im Pongau ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). He has been Vice Mayor of Grossarl since 2009 and a member of the Salzburg State Parliament since May 27, 2020 .

Life

Johann Ganitzer attended elementary and secondary school in Grossarl . He then began an apprenticeship as a coachbuilder in 1977, which he completed in 1980 with his apprenticeship. From 1980 to 1984 he worked as a car plumber in St. Johann im Pongau and Wagrain , and in 1981 he did military service . In 1984 he started working for the State of Salzburg at the Schwarzach im Pongau road maintenance department , where he also works as a staff representative.

He has been Vice Mayor of Grossarl since 2009 . In the state elections in Salzburg in 2018 , he ran for the SPÖ in the state electoral district of St. Johann im Pongau and ranked 15th on the state list. On 27 June 2020, it was in the 16th legislative term as Member of the Salzburg Parliament sworn in . He moved in for Gerald Forcher , who resigned his mandate on March 11, 2020. In the SPÖ state parliament club, he took over the function of community spokesman and is responsible for the agendas of folk culture and customs, as well as tourism and the labor market.
