Life

Johann Georg Aichgasser was born in 1701 in Hechingen in the Hohenzollern region. The Aichgasser family originally comes from the village of Boll , which is now a district of Hechingen. The Aichgassers have been there since 1337. His parents were the shoemaker Jakob Aichgasser and Magdalena (née Buckenmaier). There are no clues as to where he learned the art of organ building . He married Maria Magdalena Frey on September 20, 1734.
