Johann Georg Bschorer

Johann Georg Bschorer (born March 31, 1692 in Oberndorf am Lech ; † April 2, 1763 there ) was a German sculptor.

Life

Johann Georg Bschorer was the son of a cooper from Pfaffenhofen an der Zusam . Around 1710 he trained with Johann Christoph Bahmer in Augsburg . From 1720 to 1723 he was in the service of the Counts of Oettingen-Wallerstein , for whom he created the plague column in Wallerstein . Johann Georg Bschorer created figures on altars , pulpits and confessionals for many churches in the Augsburg area, his closer home .
