Johann Georg Holzach

Johann Georg Holzach ( April 20, 1756 - August 19, 1816 ) was a Swiss pastor .

Johann Georg Holzach, son of Georg Holzach, a teacher at the girls' school in Barfüssern in Basel , worked 1779–1786 as a pastor's helper and 1786–1798 as the second pastor in Biel . 1798–1800 he was pastor in Pieterlen , 1800–1806 in Riehen and 1806–1816 at St. Elisabethen in Basel.

His two sons Emanuel Georg Holzach and Friedrich Holzach were both entrepreneurs and politicians in Basel.
