Johann Hinrich Klapmeyer (organ builder, 1724)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johann Hinrich Klapmeyer (* 1724 in Otterndorf ; † March 6, 1792 ) was a German organ builder .

Life

Johann Hinrich Klapmeyer was the son of Michael David Klapmeyer, who was an organist in Otterndorf. After the death of the organ builder Eilert Köhler , Klapmeyer received the organ building privilege in Oldenburg from the Danish king in 1751 as a journeyman. He married Köhler's widow and lived in Oldenburg. In 1760, Hinrich Just Müller is proven to be a journeyman at Klapmeyer.

He is sometimes confused with the organ builder of the same name, Johann Hinrich Klapmeyer (1690–1757) ( Glückstadt ), with whom he is probably related.

plant

Eight new organs and numerous conversions and repairs by Klapmeyer have been proven. Its effectiveness is concentrated on the Oldenburg organ landscape .
