Johann Jakob Besserer from Thalfingen
Johann Jakob Besserer von Thalfingen (born October 29, 1753 in Ulm ; † September 11, 1834 ) was mayor of Augsburg from 1807 to 1813 .
Besserer took on an important political role in Augsburg towards the end of the imperial city period. In 1801 he was a member of the Economic Deputation for the redevelopment of the city's finances. In addition, around 1805, as a representative of the city in Munich, he was responsible for the administration of Augsburg's secularization goods. After the mediatization , i.e. the connection of Augsburg to Bavaria in 1805/1806, he officiated as mayor of Augsburg from 1807 to 1813.
