Johanna Näf

Johanna Näf (born June 26, 1944 in Stans ) is a Swiss painter , sculptor and photographer .

Life

Johanna Näf grew up in Stans . After studying music from 1972 to 1974 in Zug , she attended the F + F School for Experimental Design in Zurich from 1979 to 1982 and did an internship in a sculptor's studio. Exhibitions in Central Switzerland followed. In 1992 she directed the exhibition project "Woman's Way - A Dialogue" in Zug.

Näf is particularly concerned with art in architecture and art in public spaces (design of fountains, etc.) as well as with photograms . In 1999 and 2018 she was awarded the studio grant from the Canton of Zug in Berlin . In 2003 she had a studio stay in the Willisau city mill . In 2007 she stayed for six months in the studio of the Conference of Swiss Cities for Culture (KSK) in Varanasi (India); from this arose u. a. her work Indian Impressions (2008).
