Johannes Bisselius
Johannes Bisselius SJ (born August 20, 1601 in Babenhausen , † March 9, 1682 in Amberg ) was a German Jesuit , historian and neo-Latin poet.
Life
Born as Johannes Bissel, he entered the Jesuit order in 1621 after completing his education at the Babenhauser Latin School and studying at the Dillingen University . He was a teacher of rhetoric , philosophy and controversial theology in Ingolstadt . From 1652 until his death he was a preacher in Dillingen an der Donau . He died at the Jesuit college in Amberg as an electoral Bavarian court biographer and prefect of studies.
