Johannes Dörfler (born August 23, 1996 in Düsseldorf ) is a German soccer player of Ghanaian descent. The offensive player is under contract with SC Paderborn 07 and is mainly used on the right offensive flank.

Career

After playing for SV Lürrip 1910 and Borussia Mönchengladbach in youth, he moved to 1. FC Mönchengladbach in 2012 , for whose first team he made his debut on April 19, 2015 when he was substituted on in the home game against 1. FC Viersen and to the 4-0 final score met. He then moved to MSV Duisburg , where he was on the ball a total of 25 times (one goal) for the second team in the major league . The then league competitor KFC Uerdingen noticed him and signed him for the 2016/17 season. With the Krefeld team, they were initially promoted to the Regionalliga West and in the following season they even made it through to the 3rd division. In the relegation first leg against SV Waldhof Mannheim , the substitute Dörfler prepared the 1-0 through Maximilian Beister with a solo over half the place.

He made his professional debut in the 1: 3 home defeat against Unterhaching on matchday one of the third division season 2018/19, when he came on for Dennis Daube after the half-time break . He scored his first goal on matchday three in a 3-2 win against SV Meppen . Most of the time he was a substitute and ended the season with the Krefeld team in 11th place.

For the 2019/20 season , Bundesliga promoted SC Paderborn 07 signed him for two years. After only eight appearances in the Oberliga Westfalen , the club loaned the offensive player to the third division FSV Zwickau at the end of January 2020 until the end of the season . With the Saxons he could not prevail in the attack, played nine times in the league, where he came mostly from the bank. Dörfler just kept the class with the FSV and returned to SC Paderborn at the end of the season.
