Johannes Peters (politician, 1841)

Johannes Wilhelm Matthias Peters (born December 30, 1841 in Neuendorf ; † November 25, 1909 in Wiesbaden ) was a German lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Peters studied in Jena , Heidelberg and Kiel law . During his studies he became a member of the Arminia fraternity in the castle cellar in 1862/63 . From 1868 to 1879 he was a lawyer in Elmshorn and since 1879 in Kiel. He was a member of the Provincial Parliament of Schleswig-Holstein from 1873 to 1880 and a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1887 to 1892. From 1887 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Schleswig-Holstein 6 / Pinneberg , Segeberg ) and the National Liberal Party . From 1892 to 1898 Peters was on the central board of the National Liberal Party.

In 1892 he became a judge at the Berlin Higher Administrative Court and in 1899 President of the Senate. In 1900 he was appointed Ministerial Director in the Ministry of the Interior and from 1902 to 1908 he was President of the Higher Administrative Court. Between 1907 and his death he was a member of the manor house in Prussia .
