Johannes Rothkranz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johannes Rothkranz is a German right-wing extremist sedevacantist , book author and Catholic theologian from Filsen am Rhein.

Live and act

Rothkranz was originally a candidate for the priesthood for the diocese of Regensburg and completed his theological diploma studies at the Philosophical-Theological University in Heiligenkreuz , where he lived as a seminarist in the "Collegium Rudolphinum" (now the Leopoldinum seminary ) . He wrote his diploma thesis under the title “Meal or sacrificial character of the holy mass?”.

After completing his studies in 1985, Rothkranz began completing a pastoral year in the Diocese of Regensburg, where he then wanted to be ordained a deacon and priest . Mainly because of his criticism of the so-called popular altar , those responsible decided against his consecration .

Rothkranz criticized the Engelwerk in 1986 after turning away from it on an introductory course for the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross in Madeira , and soon turned to sedis vacantism . He has regarded the Apostolic See as vacant since the declaration of the Second Vatican Council on religious freedom , which he gave theological reasons for in a 1,700-page two-volume work on this question published in 1995.

For him, Freemasons and Zionists are the real masterminds of ecclesiastical and secular events. To support his conspiracy theory , he occasionally uses sources from the field of historical revisionism in his numerous publications . In his multi-volume work The Protocols of the Elders of Zion - Fulfilled! he uses set pieces of an anti-Semitic fiction and inflammatory pamphlet indexed and confiscated in Germany since 2001 , the so-called Protocols of the Elders of Zion . In his brochure Did you know ...? Rothkranz uses works and quotes from Holocaust deniers such as Richard Harwood and David Irving as sources and refers to the pseudo-scientific , neo-Nazi Institute for Historical Review .

Rothkranz uses conspiracy-theoretical and anti-Semitic thought patterns by speaking of a powerful organization that has wanted to usurp world domination under anti-Christian auspices for a long time. It is about "organized Judaism" and its many aid organizations, the most important of which is the Grand Lodge Freemasonry founded in 1717 . You are dealing with the " Synagogue of Satan ", an organization that wants to spread the number 666 in order to subjugate humanity. According to Rothkranz, “today's Islam ” is also controlled by Jews and is used by the “Satan synagogue” as an anti-Christian tool. Furthermore, he spreads conspiracy theories on September 11, 2001 with one of his books and sees the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI. as well as the election of his successor Francis the " Kabbalah " at work.

Johannes Rothkranz is also expressly classified as right-wing extremist in the common authority file of the German library system.

The Priestly Society of St. Pius X has again imposed a ban on Rothkranz in 2006 and refused the sacraments by priests of the Society. The Society advises believers not to read Rothkranz's writings.

The anti-Semitism researcher Wolfgang Benz wrote about Rothkranz: "The rabulism of the fundamentalist, for whom 'Council Catholic' is a synonymous swear word for 'fully Judaized', arises from pure hatred and, in its loquacity and urge to instruct, forms the ideal type of the obscure world conspiracy fanatic".
