Johannes Seilern

Johannes Seilern (born September 22, 1951 in Tschagguns ) is an Austrian actor and theater director .

Life

Johannes Seilern completed his training at the Krauss drama school in Vienna in 1974 , where he later also taught. As a result, he had engagements at the Vienna Youth Theater , the Vienna Volkstheater , the Theater in der Josefstadt , the City Theater Klagenfurt and the State Theater of Lower Austria . In Germany he was seen at the Staatstheater Oldenburg , the Schauspiel Bonn , the Renaissance Theater Berlin , the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and the Theater Heidelberg .

As a director, for example, he staged the dramas Kunst and Drei Mal Leben by Yasmina Reza as well as the play Dreck by Robert Schneider , the productions could be seen at the Theater Center Forum Vienna, at the Theater praesent and the Vienna Theater in the living room TIWO.

In the film documentary Das Land, der Bischof und das Böse (2020) by Anita Lackenberger , he took on the role of Michael Memelauer , Bishop of the Diocese of St. Pölten.
