John Baptist Kaggwa

John Baptist Kaggwa (born March 23, 1943 in Bulenga , Uganda ) is a Ugandan clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Masaka .

Life

John Baptist Kaggwa received on 12 December 1971, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 19 December 1994 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To Coadjutor Bishop of Masaka . The bishop of Masaka, Adrian Kivumbi Ddungu , donated him episcopal ordination on June 24, 1995 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Kampala , Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala , and the Bishop of Fort Portal , Paul Lokiru Kalanda . On January 10, 1998, John Baptist Kaggwa became Bishop of Masaka, succeeding Adrian Kivumbi Ddungu, who resigned for reasons of age.

On April 16, 2019, Pope Francis accepted the resignation made by John Baptist Kaggwa for reasons of age.
