John Christopher Mahon
John Christopher Mahon SPS (born December 25, 1922 in Killurin , † November 10, 2004 ) was Bishop of Lodwar .
Life
John Christopher Mahon joined the Order of St. Patrick's Society for Foreign Missions and was ordained a priest on March 28, 1948 .
Paul VI appointed him on January 16, 1968 Apostolic Prefect of Lodwar . The Pope elevated the Apostolic Prefecture to a diocese on January 30, 1978 and appointed him Bishop of Lodwar. The Archbishop of Nairobi , Maurice Michael Cardinal Otunga , donated him episcopal ordination on April 25 of the same year; Co- consecrators were John Njenga , Bishop of Eldoret , and William Dunne SPS, Bishop of Kitui .
On February 17, 2000, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
