John Jarlath Dooley

John Jarlath Dooley SSCME (born July 6, 1906 in Kilmaine , Ireland , † September 18, 1997 ) was an Irish Curial Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

John Jarlath Dooley joined the Missionary Society of St. Columban in and received on 20 December 1931, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On October 18, 1951, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Macra and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Indochina . The Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines , Archbishop Egidio Vagnozzi , donated him episcopal ordination on December 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Vĩnh Long , Pierre Martin Ngô Đình Thục , and the Vicar Apostolic of Phnom-Penh , Jean-Baptiste-Maximilien Chabalier MEP . On September 15, 1959, Pope John XXIII appointed him . to the official in the Vatican State Secretariat .

In 1966 Dooley resigned as an official at the Vatican State Secretariat.

John Jarlath Dooley attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
