John Poliquin

John "JP" Poliquin (born August 24, 1986 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian director for music videos , TV commercials and films .

Life

Poliquin was born on August 24, 1986 in Vancouver, where he attended Handsworth Secondary School .

His work as a director for music videos includes videos for bands such as Hedley , Finger Eleven , My Darkest Days , Theory of a Deadman , The New Cities , Paper Lions , Kardinal Offishall , Kardinal Offishall, Hey Ocean! , Victoria Duffield and State of Shock . He also directed videos for the television series The Next Star , broadcast on the Canadian television network YTV .

Poliquin made his debut as a feature film director in 2012 in the horror film Grave Encounters 2 .

His work as a music video director has been nominated for the Juno Award , the MuchMusic Video Award , the East Coast Music Association Award , the PEI Music Award and the Leo Award .

He lives in Toronto .
