Jonas Boesiger (born April 5, 1995 ) is a Swiss snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Boesiger has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2010 . He drove his first FIS World Cup race in November 2012 in Antwerp , which he finished in 30th place in the Big Air competition. In the 2012/13 season he took third place on the halfpipe at the Audi Snowboard Series in Davos , second place in slopestyle at the French Fries Rookie Fest in Avoriaz and first place at the World Rookie Finals in Ischgl . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2013 in Erzurum , he won the bronze medal in slopestyle. In February 2014, he came second in slopestyle at the Audi Snowboard Series in Grindelwald and the Mythen Style Men in Mythenpark. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, he took second place in the Big Air competition at the FIS World Cup race in Istanbul and thus achieved third place in the Big Air World Cup. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he came 16th in Big Air and fifth in Slopestyle. In April 2015, he finished second in slopestyle at the Audi Snowboard Series in Corvatsch . At the Snowboard World Championships 2016 in Yabuli he finished 39th in Slopestyle and 16th in Big Air. In the 2016/17 season he came in ten World Cup competitions, three times in the top ten. He finished second in the Big Air in Mönchengladbach and at the end of the season reached 18th place in the Freestyle World Cup and ninth place in the Big Air World Cup. At the Snowboard World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada , he achieved 24th place in slopestyle and eighth place in big air. In April 2017 he became Swiss champion in big air. In the 2017/18 season he came with three top ten Placements at five World Cup starts, including second place in the Big Air in Québec , ninth place in the Freestyle World Cup and third place in the Big Air World Cup. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he finished 21st in Slopestyle and eighth in Big Air. The following year, he came 22nd in Slopestyle at the World Championships in Park City and became Swiss Big Air Champion in Corvatsch .
