Erik Jonas Eriksson (born December 21, 1970 in Karlstad ) is a former Swedish biathlete .

Jonas Eriksson lives and trained in Torsby , where he also started for the local Skidklubben Bore club . The coach began biathlon in 1988. He started in the biathlon world cup in the early 1990s . The first major event was the 1991 Biathlon World Championships in Lahti , where he was 54th in the individual and 65th in the sprint. It took until 1995 that he again took part in a World Championship in Antholz and was 26th in the individual, 66th in the sprint and sixth in the relay race with Ulf Johansson , Mikael Löfgren and Fredrik Kuoppa . The 1995/96 season brought Sweden's best World Cup result with 18th place in an individual in Osrblie . At the highlight of the season, the 1996 Biathlon World Championships in Ruhpolding , Eriksson was 29th in the individual, 34th in the sprint and ninth in relay with Rickard Noberius , Tord Wiksten and Kuoppa. 1997 in Osrblie a 44th place in the sprint and a 32nd place in the pursuit race were added. The last major event as well as career highlight and international conclusion were the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano . At the competitions in Nozawa Onsen , he finished tenth in the relay race with Löfgren, Wiksten and Kuoppa. Nationally, Eriksson won the bronze medal with the relay of Bore Biathlon at the Swedish Championships 2010 in Tatort .
