Jorinde van Klinken gained her first international experience in 2016 when she was eliminated from qualification at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with a width of 14.31 m and finished tenth in the discus throw with 49.15 m. The following year she won the silver medal in the shot put at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto with 16.89 m and finished sixth in the discus competition with 51.53 m. In 2018 she won the bronze medal in the shot put at the U20 World Championships in Tampere with 17.05 m and was seventh with the discus with 50.61 m. In the discus throw she managed to qualify for the European Championships in Berlin , but did not reach the final there with 54.33 m. In 2019 she won the U20 European Championships in Borås, Sweden with 17.39 m and was eliminated from the qualification with the discus with 47.67 m. Then she took part in the discus throw at the World Championships in Doha and was eliminated there with 58.58 m in the qualification .
In 2019 van Klinken became Dutch indoor champion in the shot put.
