Jormannsdorf has probably been listening to the rule of Bernstein Castle , which Ivan von Güssing held, since 1279 . Some sources speak of the first written mention of the place as early as this year. After 1388, the Bernstein rule and with it Jormannsdorf was pledged to the Kanizsay brothers . From 1486 the fortunes of the village were linked to the Königsberg family, a Lower Austrian noble family. The construction of Jormannsdorf Castle , which was first mentioned in 1591 as "Künigsberghausen" and was mentioned again in 1620 on the occasion of an electoral sermon , fell into this period . In 1644 Adam I. Batthyány acquired the Jormannsdorf rule from the Königsbergers . Under his rule, in addition to various infrastructural improvements, there was also a lively tourism because of the mineral springs. From 1659 to 1854, the village was part of the Pinkafeld rule for most of the time .

With the elevation of the village of Jormannsdorf to a privileged manorial market in 1701, economy and trade developed on a broader level. After the plagues of the Kuruc uprising from 1703 to 1711 and a plague of 1713 had been overcome, the farmers were literally crushed by taxes and robot services despite their poor situation. After the peasant unrest flared up in 1765, the Maria Theresian Urbar and the abolition of serfdom in 1848 brought visible relief for the former subjects.

Jormannsdorf has been part of the Bad Tatzmannsdorf community since 1971.
