José Carlos Chacorowski CM (born December 26, 1956 in Curitiba ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Caraguatatuba .

Life

José Carlos Chacorowski joined the religious order of the Lazarists and made his profession on April 16, 1980 . The auxiliary bishop in Curitiba , Ladislau Biernaski CM, ordained him on April 20, 1980 as a deacon . Pope John Paul II ordained him on July 2, 1980 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 22, 2010 auxiliary bishop in São Luís do Maranhão and titular bishop of Casae Nigrae . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of São Luís do Maranhão, José Belisário da Silva OFM , on February 19 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Ladislau Biernaski CM, Bishop of São José dos Pinhais , and Vicente Joaquim Zico CM, Senior Archbishop of Belém do Pará . As a motto he chose EVANGELIZARE PAUPERIBUS MISIT .

On June 19, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Caraguatatuba .
