José Reinoso

José Reinoso (born September 24, 1971 in Carmelo ) is a Uruguayan jazz musician ( piano , also guitar , arrangement , composition).

Live and act

Reinoso, who came to music as an autodidact , studied classical piano in Montevideo from 1990 to 1994 , and then continued his education at Berklee College of Music until 1996 .

Reinoso, who then returned to Uruguay and worked with Luis Salinas, Gustavo Bergalli , Chico Novarro, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Osvaldo Fattoruso and Nicolàs Reinoso, performed several times at the Montreux Jazz Festival , Jazz à Vienne and Jazz à Juan . Since 1999 he lived and worked in Barcelona. He accompanied Mayte Martín , Perico Sambeat , Marcelo Mercadante & Quinteto Porteño, Alfonso Carrascosa & Segundo Cónclave, Raynald Colom, Rodrigo Flores & Gardelia and Marc Ayza. In 2001 he founded the Ensemble Repique , which was dedicated to Latin American jazz; in recent years he has mainly performed with his trio. Since 2002 he has released several albums under his own name, but also released in a duo with Antonio Serrano . In 2015 he was particularly mentioned by the Premios Graffiti jury for his musical work with young people in his hometown.
