Josef Dierkes (Mayor)

Josef Dierkes (born June 12, 1928 in Menne ; † July 31, 2014 ) was a German local politician ( CDU ).

Career

Dierkes lived in Menne. From 1961 he was mayor of the municipality of Menne. After its incorporation into the city of Warburg , he was mayor of the city of Warburg from 1975 to 1989.

From 1973 to 1976 he was chairman of the agricultural breeders' association for the Warburg district. In 1989 he was made honorary citizen of the city of Warburg.

1997: Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany
