Josef Lauter

Josef Lauter (born August 4, 1936 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German mathematician , educator and university lecturer .

Life

Lauter studied mathematics and physics at RWTH Aachen University from 1956 to 1961 . He received his doctorate in 1966 at the University of Bonn with the dissertation Investigations on the Language of Kant's "Critique of Pure Reason" for Dr. phil. From 1967 on he was a research assistant at RWTH Aachen University, in 1967 he held a teaching position for cybernetics and information theory at the PH Rhineland . In 1968 he became a lecturer at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education . In 1970 he was appointed professor for didactics of mathematics, and from 1972 he was director of studies and from 1976 to 1978 rector . In addition, from 1990 to 1994 he was director of the senior university at the PH. In 1999 Lauter retired .

The PH Schwäbisch Gmünd appointed Lauter, who was the chairman of the Friends of the University of Education , for his services as an honorary citizen .
