Manfred Wespel
Manfred Wespel (born November 14, 1942 in Biberach an der Riss ) is a German specialist in German , educator and university professor .
Life
Wespel was 1972 Linguistic the project Fachdidaktik the German Research Foundation at the University of Konstanz worked and received his doctorate there in 1975 with the work of linguistics and teacher training for Dr. phil. He then worked at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education , where he was appointed professor in 1978 . From 1998 to 2002 he was rector of the university, and in 2008 he retired .
Wespel, the founder and head of the Children's University in Schwäbisch Gmünd and initiator of the scientific exchange with Benin , was made an honorary citizen of the PH Schwäbisch Gmünd in 2013 for his services .
Among other things, Wespel deals with spelling lessons , in particular basic spelling strategies and reading and spelling weaknesses , including intervention programs and reading didactic preparation of texts.
